AAL’S LABYRINTH HISTORY An Alternative Viewpoint…..contd. 21.

The ‘Narmer Palette’ celebrating the union of Upper and Lower Egypt under the Pharaoh Menes. [Gardner, ‘Art Through the Ages’]

c3200 BCE     MENES or NARMER is also known as the Pharaoh Aha, the first mortal king of Ancient Egypt. He is credited in legend as being half human and half divine. He is founder of the historical dynasties of Ancient Egypt. As such, Menes unites Upper Egypt of the White Crown, with the Delta region of Lower Egypt and the Red Crown. The national capital is established at Memphis, the geodetic centre of Egypt. (68) The earlier symbols of the two kingdoms are maintained; they are the sedge, the bee and the papyrus. (49) In a future time the bee will be important to the European dynastic line of the Merovingians.

However, the scholar Champollion will in the future put the date of the beginning of Dynastic Egypt at c5867 BCE and this date would accord with the legendary ‘Golden Age’. Which-ever date is the truest, the unification of Egypt is nominated the ‘Archaic Period’ of Dynastic Egypt, a time when a fully-fledged culture seems to appear out of nowhere. Possibly this is because of the intervention of another race and an experiment to run Egypt to a plan of ancient wisdom that is guided by the ‘Inner Masters’ according to mystic tradition.
At unification, Narmer moves his capital from This in the south to the new city of White Wall (Memphis) in the north and commemorates the event of unification on the ‘Narmer Palette’ which is located at Nekhen (GK. Hieraconpolis) city of the falcon god Horus. (49) The depiction of a possible marriage ceremony between Narmer and a northern princess, indicates consolidation of the Red and White Lands, (49) and is perhaps symbolic of an alchemical marriage.
One wonders if the story of the red and white, of the uniting of two lands of Egypt, is the story of the dual mother goddess – the Vulture and the Cobra - of the two states becoming the one male god Horus of the united Egypt. Was the Narmer Palette the for-runner of the ‘Sam Tau’?
Around the time of the Union of Egypt, migration from the Western Delta to Libya took place (33) and then from Libya to Crete. Is this the path of the spider or mother goddess, making her way out of Egypt to eventually become Arachne/Ariadne in Crete and Greece? The classical Labyrinth can be symbolised in the spider’s web, both of which are a symbolic reference to the hidden side of life.

Theseus, Ariadne and the Labyrinth. 15th Century Giraudon

As reigning king, Menes was regarded as the living embodiment of the falcon-god Horus or Ra-Harakhty. As ruler of the united kingdom of Egypt the reigning king from now on will wear the two crowns of the two kingdoms; it is known as the double crown. Edjo and Nekhbet, the Cobra and Vulture goddesses of the north and south, become the dual protectors of the whole of Egypt. (see 5000 BCE) Nekhbet is the vulture goddess of births; Edjo as protector against enemies or perhaps disintigration. They may be the goddesses of destiny and fate but are gradually supplanted by falcon sun god Horus.

King Menes began the first human dynasty of ancient Egypt. The Sanskrit root ‘man’ means ‘to think, a thinker’; Pythagorean ‘Monas’ means a conscious thinking unit; ‘Manas’ is mind as the 5th principle of man. Ancestors of all races are called Mannus, Manu, Menes, Minos, referring to a ‘thinking being’ or man [as opposed to a god or animal] [239]
Menes other and royal ‘Horus’ name is Narmer, which according to some means Nar [fish] mer [chisel] [to chisel out means death of the substrate] but the name could also mean ‘great fish’ and be a possible reference to Oannes the fish god of Babylonia.

PTAH: is the chief god of the new capital Memphis. He is master of destiny and creator of the world. To the future Roman’s he will become known as Vulcan. Ptah is always represented as a mumiform figure, but he also manifests himself as the Apis-Bull, a fertility god, and through his association with Soker, was also known as a funerary god. [287 p.27] Apis is Latin for Bee and thus provides a connection with the earlier Egyptian symbolism before the time of unification. The association of the bull and the bee becomes clearer from a study of Mithraic symbology. In Mithraism the vital principle is symbolised by the bull/oxen from which the bee or soul springs. [322 p.32]

HOR-AHA AND WIFE NEITHETEP: a 1st Dynasty King and Queen of Egypt based at Nubt, the abode of Seth. At this time there is in existence a temple to Neith of Sais, she is the great Mother Goddess. (49)

DJT OF ABYDOS is the 3rd monarch of First Dynasty known as the ‘Serpent King’. His stele is the oldest known example of the use of a frame, recess or doorway as the foundation of the royal ‘Horus-name’. At his time the cult of Hathor is known Egypt and in Lebanon.  (67)
In the early period, the pharaohs are called the ‘Horus Kings’ as the representatives of the falcon god and are under the protection of Horus the Elder. By the 2nd Dynasty the kings have become ‘sons of Re’, another form of the sun god. Close to White Wall was the chief religions city of Iwaw [Hebrew On, Greek Heliopolis] where the earlier sun god Re is supplanted by the god Atum. (49)

According to Jane Sellers, from the First Dynasty to the Persian conquest of Egypt in the Twenty-Seventh Dynasty, there will be a predicted eleven total eclipses over Egyptian centres of power. (240 p.57) Such phenomena is put forward as being represented and recorded in the mythology of the battle of the Egyptian gods. As the cosmic influences change through the motion of precession there is a change of orientation between earth and stars, and stars replace stars in their heavenly location relative to earth.

c3200 BCE     The site of Jericho is established. It will become a succession of walled towns from now until c1580 BCE when it will then be destroyed by Egyptian invasions.

AAL’S LABYRINTH HISTORY An Alternative Viewpoint…..contd. 20.

c3400             SCORPION: This is the name of an Egyptian king of late Nagada II period from southern Egypt. The pre-dynastic culture of Nagada II marks developments in ancient Egypt, which appear to have no direct precedents. Some of these are the first appearance of the earliest stages in the development of writing; artifacts with motifs representing strange composite animals with entwined necks and alien to Egyptian tradition; and the distinction between burial practices for the ruling class and the masses. The sudden appearance of this new culture is considered by some to be due to the arrival of a foreign race that would start the dynastic period of Egypt c3100BC. The origins of this race are unknown, but infiltration seems to have been from the south as the earliest known of these cultures is located in Upper Egypt.

c3300             RE or RA’s Birthday. The Egyptian Sun god’s birthday is marked by the Summer Solstice, and the ‘Calendar of Feasts’ is put into place. During this year the Solstice coincides with the heliacal rising of Sirius. The star Sirius is of the constellation Canis Minor, located near sidereal Gemini.

HORUS: The Turin Papyrus states that before the reign of King Menes (c3200) and the beginning of the historical Egyptian dynasties, there is the rule of the ‘Venerable Companions’ (or servitors) of the falcon sun god Horus. They are the Shemsu-Hor, who reigned for 13,420 years. An inscription in the temple of Dendera ascribes the ‘venerable organization’ of worship to a skin scroll dating from the epoch of the ‘Companions of Horus’ (demi-gods). The ancients thus ascribed the art of writing and the origins of their state to a remote antiquity.

TROY: The site of this future great city in ancient Anatolia [Turkey] is first settled during last centuries of 4th millenium. Troy is located close to Mount Ida famous for the birth of the god Zeus [although there is another mount Ida in Crete]. It is the location of the famous Trojan War. An account of the Trojan War will be recorded in the future by the Greek Homer, in his epic poem, the ‘Illiad’.

3233               PEPI I: In this year, in the reign of this Egyptian King Pepi, the temple of Dendra is rebuilt. It will again be rebuilt by Thothmes III in 1600 BCE, and again by the Ptolemies about 100 BCE.

WENI: an Egyptian court official writes an autobiography of his long life as experienced under the reign of the Pharoahs Teti, Pepi I and Mernere.

The Full Moon around the 18th August 2016 falls in the zodiac sign of Aquarius. For those people with this sign highlighted in their birth chart there is sure to be a peak phase in what ever was going on approximately two weeks ago at the New Moon in the zodiac sign of Leo. A time when reality and clear thinking was being challenged by the melting of previously known boundaries. What was then lost or creating confusion may now be found or given clarity.

AAL’S LABYRINTH HISTORY An Alternative Viewpoint…..contd. 19

c4000 BCE     Libyan migrations are made to Crete, and there are Mycenaean fortifications at the site that will become the Acropolis of Athens in the future. Biblical Shushsan/Susa is also founded around this time and will form the capital of Elam in the future. Its location is at the head of the Persian Gulf.  This is the country of the Elamites, East of Sumer.
From 4000 BCE to 1 CE the heliacal rising of Sirius occurs about July 16 (Julian Calendar) marking the beginning of the Sothic Year at the Summer Solstice. The Neomenia or 1st New Moon of the lunar calendar, occurs during the 9th Sothic month, approximately March 13th to April 11th.

MONTU/MENTHU also known as Montu-RA.  At this time the city of Iwnw or ancient Hermonthis, is one of the most important places of worship for the god Montu, known as the ‘Lord of Thebes’. As a bull form of the sun god, he is believed to be a personification of the sun’s destructive heat and will eventually become known as a god of war.

MENTHU

In Ancient Egypt there are the recorded beginnings of geometry and arithmetic based on a method of doubling. Note that Taurus is a mathematician’s sign and this is the Age of Taurus. Such a method of mathematical doubling, is reminiscent of that used in future computing techniques and called the binary system. There is evidence of the development of calendars and of the earliest script known by the Sumerians.

ANCIENT EGYPTIAN civilization, as recorded in history, emerges in the region of the Nile valley in the 4th millennium BCE and continues until 30 BCE when the region will be annexed to the Roman Empire. Egypt is divided into two parts at the present time; Lower Egypt of the Nile delta is centred on the capital Heliopolis (ancient city of On and the worship of the solar disk Aten or Ra-Horakhti) and Upper Egypt, from the delta to the 2nd Cataract, is centred on Hermopolis. The two kingdoms will be united by Menes in about 3100 BCE when the god Amon will  become the dominant god in the capital of Thebes.  Akhenaton (1329 BCE) will later resurrect the older god On of that ancient city.

c3800 BCE     IRAN: at Tepe Vahya are found the earliest known artefacts of smelted copper. This development will be followed by the era of Bronze technology, an alloy of copper and arsenic or antimony.

3670               The Pleiades, an open cluster of stars in the constellation of Taurus, cease to mark the important Vernal Equinox at the Fayum of Egypt.

3500                PELASGUS: according to Greek myth is the first man sprung from the soil of Arcadia. He is the ancestor of the Pelasgians, a race that sprang from the teeth of the serpent Ophion. This race may be composed of people who migrated from Palestine to mainland Greece about 3500 BCE. In about 700 years into the future the early Hellads from Asia Minor will come and integrate with these people. ‘Pelasgians’ became loosely applied to all pre-Hellenic inhabitants in Greece.

c3500             ENLIL: king of the gods of Sumeria has his cult centre at Nippur, the chief religious centre of this civilization, which is flourishing around the city-states of Uruk, Ur, Nippur, Eridu and Lagash, in Lower Mesopotamia. The Warka culture follows on from the Obeid culture and trade is extending into Egypt and Asia Minor. There is evidence of metal tools, irrigation, agriculture, astronomy, cosmology, a lunar calendar and the wheel. The Sumerians produce the earliest script known, that of the Sumerian Cuneiform, allowing the recording of history, epic poems and meditations on the meaning of life. At the focal point of the city-state is the temple complex, which had developed out of mud brick rectangular rooms into the great ziggurat. Attached to either the temple or the palace was the edubba (tablet house) which served as a training school for scribes. Four main gods existed, that of heaven (fire) that of air, earth and water. Before Enlil, the chief god was An, god of heaven the abzu. An or Anu, the air god is later replaced by Enlil. Enki Ea is the god of water, Inanna the goddess of love and war; Utu the sun god and Nanna the moon god. Nin-Kas- “the lady who fills the mouth’ was the goddess of beer and therefore fermentation, which reminds one of the Egyptian Hathor.
At this time the Ghassulian culture in the Jordan valley of Palestine is using copper and stone. The dead are buried with food and utensils. Eight pointed stars appear in wall decoration.

c3500 BCE     HATHOR: At the time of Enlil in Mesopotamia, great temples to Hathor were being built at Denderah, Egypt, and to the goddess Mut at Thebes. These temples are aligned to the rising of the star Tuart, know in the future as Eltanin in the constellation Draco.  The Temple of Denderah (Annu) is one of initiation in Egypt and as an important centre of the mystery-cultus of this civilization is dedicated to Hat-Hor, the ancient title for the Virgin Mother. It is also the location of a famous planisphere, added in a future reconstruction of the temple. (85)

Predynastic Egypt emphasised a belief in the afterlife among the circumpolar stars. This may be due to either the constellation Ursa Major or the star Arcturus, being their ancestral home. The dynastic Egyptians put more accent on the solar god RA [as recorded in pyramid hieroglyphs] and an after life spent with the sun god.

It could be suggested that the Atlantean Priest Race overlaid on existing primitive human cultures at various places, such as Egypt and Mesopotamia etc. The Atlanteans may also be the origin of the serpent cult based on the star worship of the Draco serpent. Although Manetho is attributed with having introduced the Serpent cult into Alexandria from Greece in the 3C BCE, the cult may have gone from Egypt to Greece and back again.

AAL’S LABYRINTH HISTORY An Alternative Viewpoint…..contd. 18.

The world of the Fifth Millennium BCE records the Egyptian Nile Delta with evidence of agriculture and of barley grain crops stored in silos. It is postulated that agriculture must have existed for some while to bring the wild crop to this cultivated state. Indications of cult beliefs are found in planted hippo bones, ox-head clay models and fetal burial positions with amulets. Pre-dynastic artifacts of Egypt bear a remarkable resemblance to those of Central Asia and of Libya in Africa. The Sumerian city of Nineveh is first built around this time and the Hassuna culture flourishes in upper Mesopotamia. It seems that this millennium is the bridge and foundation to orthodox recorded history of the following millennium.

4867               The author Jane B. Sellers estimates an eighty-year series of four eclipses occurring over the land of ancient Egypt between now and 4787 BCE. These eclipses are observable over key settlements. She says that the ancients interpreted these eclipses as a battle of the gods who in their turn are represented by the different stars that rise and set at important points in the year. Her work follows on from that of Lockyer who surveyed ancient Egypt and established the truth of star cults in early civilizations.
As particular stars disappear from the dawn horizon at the Equinoxes due to Precession, and enforced by the phenomena of total eclipses, it is postulated by the author that these events were interpreted by the Ancient Egyptians as a war between the ruling gods Horus and Seth.
At the fourth total eclipse of this unusual series of eclipses, it is postulated by Sellers that observers at Nekhen in Egypt lost sight of the rising star Alderbaran on the Vernal Equinox. This occurrence is said to conclude the war between Horus and Seth.
By 4867 BCE HORUS, depicted in the solar boat, is claimed ruler over all of Ancient Egypt with the Pleiades now rising in the dawn sky of the Vernal Equinox, thus heralding a new era. And indeed the Taurean Age is declared to begin around this time.

c4500 BCE     TAUREAN WORLD AGE begins between now and 4320 BCE and marks the frontier of recorded history. The Egyptian god Re plants the spiritual seed in the fertile soil of human experience. The chief cult at this time is that of the Bull in accord with the sign and symbol of the Age. In Semitic, the bull is called El; in Egyptian, Apis; in Creten, Minos. In all ancient zodiacs known, this constellation marked the beginning of the year and a golden age in archaic astronomy.
Between now and 3100 BCE corresponding with the Taurean Age, is the reign of the first dynastic kings of Egypt, as recorded by the Greek historian Manetho. In pre-dynastic Egypt when the land formed two kingdoms, each with its own ruler and god, the Northern Kingdom of the Delta region based its capitol city and kings residence at Pe (near Dep) and which will later be called Buto. The other kingdom is the Southern Kingdom of the Nile valley, from Atfih to Gebel, its capitol city and kings residence is based at Nekhen (later Hieracompolis) near Edfu. The unification of the two pre-dynastic Kingdoms of Upper and Lower Egypt takes place now as the Vernal Equinox enters the constellation of Taurus. Other authors place the First Egyptian dynasty in the future at about 3100 BCE.
One dating of the Great Pyramids of Giza, is suggested for this time.

4240 BCE      This year is believed to be the foundation year of the Egyptian ‘Sothic Calendar ‘according to scholar Schwaller de Lubicz, and this is because tradition placed the heliacal rising of Sirius at the Summer Solstice in the constellation of Leo. Sirius is the only fixed star with an unvaried cycle of 365.25 days, which measures a more accurate Earth year than does the solar cycle. Such stellar computations were in the hands of the Priests of On. The Ramasseum gives distinct reference to the signs of Taurus, Leo and Scorpio and the fact that Sirius was the morning star at the beginning of the Nile-rise. The star Sothis is known as the 'Great Provider', and regarded as another and greater sun around which it is possible that our sun and solar system orbits.

SIRIUS from Hubble telescope

The Egyptians have three calendars at this time, the lunar, the solar and the Siriac. Their solar calendar is of 12 months of 30 days equaling 360 (complete circle/cycle) plus 5 days for the births of the gods Osiris, Isis, Horus, Nephthys and Set. The Siriac calendar was based on the flooding of the Nile, which had a predictable cycle and could be used as a calendar and timing devise. The heliacal rise of Sirius at this time, marked the first day of the month of Thoth and the Egyptian Solar ‘New Year Day’. The flow of the Nile gave Egypt 3 seasons; flooding from late June to late October, plant growth from October to February; harvest from February to the end of June.

The coincidence of the Egyptian Sothic and civil calendars occurred every 1460 Sothic years and marked the return of the Bennu bird. The Bennu bird or Phoenix is symbolized by the apex stone of the obelisk, and in its turn marked the return of the ‘First Time’ (Tep Zepi) and the beginning of a new aeon.
The Nippurian or Lunar Calendar begins at the Spring New Moon. That is when the Sun is at 19° of the constellation now known as Aries, and the Moon was at 3° of the constellation Taurus. In Babylon, the Spring Equinox heralds the beginning of the New Year with the heliacal rising of the Pleiades together with a New Moon.

4004                The 21st March 4004 BCE will be claimed by creationist in the 18th century CE as the date when God created the World. Some call it the ‘Silver Age’ with the northern hemisphere experiencing the Spring Equinox in the constellation Taurus, the Summer Solstice in Leo, the Autumn Equinox in Scorpio and the Winter Solstice in Aquarius. Others declare the Taurean Age to be a ‘Copper Age’, appropriate to the ruling planet Venus. It is also the time of the Biblical worship of the ‘Golden Calf’.
