GOD GODDESS

IN THE BEGINNING The world was created, or became manifest when the 7 classical planets were conjunct in the constellation Aries, the sign of the Egyptian Goose, the ‘Great Cackler’ who laid the ‘Golden Egg’. The world will be destroyed, or become unmanifest, when these 7 planets are again conjunct in the sign of Pisces; thus said Albumasar in his ‘Revolution of Years’. (11) This cosmic revelation according to the sage Albumasar, is when the world manifested itself out of the dark primordial soup of deep dark space. For the Ancient Egyptians, Nun, the primordial abyss or cosmic waters, the boundless deep, gave forth all that was to manifest. This primal chaos is symbolized in 8 elemental gods known as the Ogdoad. They are:- Nun/Naunet                   water Huh/Hautet                    space Kuk/Kauket                   darkness Amun/Amunet               hidden Out of this primal chaos arose Atum who gave birth to the creative sun god Re. Then Shu the air and Tefnut the moisture, separated earth Geb from sky Nut. Geb then mated with Nut to produce the 4 pillars of the universe, Osiris, Isis, Nephthys and Seth. [185 pp.45-53] So the world began with the emergence of the sun god Ra or Re-Atum who then produced the 4 ‘corner’s of the world. The Intelligence of the universe manifests its polarity through 10 divine principles or divine dynasties known as the reign of the gods or neters. These ten form the spiritual matrix from which life was made manifest, and from which civilization on Earth was nurtured. (48) Such understanding is the basis of Kabala system of Ten Sephiroth, and the Judaic-Christian Empyborean system of Spirits and Archangels; both systems or models are used by humans in their attempt to gain an understanding of the One original Intelligence, which is presumed to be the underlying factor in physical manifestation and which, for the want of a name, is termed by some to be GOD. The archetypal design of God manifesting is symbolized in the glyph of the Kabalistic Tree. Below the area of the unknowable begins manifestation at Geburah and continues until it reaches Malkuth symbolized in planet Earth, the 7th world following the ‘Deluge’ or the 7th ‘Day’ of creation according to Genesis. The reign of the ten neters is followed by the reign of the thirty dynasties of sages or demi-gods, guided by the mythological figure of Thoth, an ancient god of wisdom and measurement symbolized in many personages over a very long period of time and named according to particular cultures:- Lemurian Thoth I / Adam Atlantian/Egyptian Thoth II / Enoch Hebraic/Egyptian Thoth III / Moses [Greek Thoth IV/Hermes Trimegistus / Opheus] Arabic Thoth V /Idris (316) [Roman Thoth VI / Mercury] In the beginning, EURYNOME [Tethys/Night] the Goddess of All Things, rose from Chaos, separated the sky from the sea [waters above from the waters below] and dancing on the waves set the wind in motion. The wind turned into the great serpent OPHION [Oceanus] who coupled with Eurynome and impregnated her. Eurynome turned into a dove and laid the Universal Silver Egg in the womb of darkness and around which Ophion coiled 7 times until the Egg split in two. From the Cosmic Egg issued Eros/Phanes, the universal light that set the world in motion and created the planets. Phanes is also the celestial bee the ‘feeder upon heather’ and identified with the transcendent Orphic god Iao of 4 heads. These 4 heads represent the cardinal points of direction. Later Eurynome will give birth to the Titans or 7 ancient and primeval dual planetary powers. [33. Vol.I  p.27-31] The TITANS or Elders, were primeval gods/spirits and are the first divine race to inhabit Earth and are honoured by the Greeks as the ancestors of man. They are born of Gaea and Uranus, Earth and Sky and may represent the natural forces shaping the world in its early stages of evolution.  The Titans are generally 7 polarities in number, some superceded by the 12 gods of Olympus but a few remained alongside the new gods. The Titans have the names of:- Cronus/Rhea [Time and Earth, seemingly to reflect their parents. They are the predecessors of Saturn - peace]. Oceanus/Tethys [Who will be replaced by Olympian Poseidon/Neptune but are also the predecessors of Venus/Aprodite - love]. Hyperion/Theia [The ancient predecessor of Sun/Helius - illumination]. Phoebe/Mnemosyne [The predecessors of Moon/Selene – memory/enchantment]. Coeus [Koios]/Metis [The predecessors of Mercury/Hermes/Apollo - wisdom], Themis/Eurymedon-Iapetus [Predecessors of Jupiter/Zeus/Hera – justice/law]; Crius/Dione [Predecessors of Mars/Ares - growth]. The 7 planetary pairs, with their parents, make 8 pairs in all; compared with the Egyptian Ogdoad [4 pairs] and Ennead [4 pairs plus 1] this multiplication demonstrates the continuing fracturing into multiplicity of the All or the One as it descends deeper into physical manifestation.  [40. 308. 309. 33]. “The head…hath been formed and prepared in the likeness of a cranium and is filled with the crystalline dew”. INTRODUCTION

In the mists of time, or even beyond the time and space we know now, was the land of Lemuria in existence; perhaps when the Vernal Point was located in the Constellation Leo, in one of the many and ancient world cycles.

Beyond the fabled Lemuria, yet still other legends tell of the tragedy of the crystal planet of Arcturus that was destroyed when the vibrational rate was increased to the point of causing destruction and the female survivors, possibly the Amazons of mythology, established themselves on planet Earth. Here they were able to pass on their knowledge under a matriarchal system designed to hold safe that knowledge which the male polarity had abused in their homeland. This event probably predated but also overlapped the Lemuria-Atlantis epoch and may be the origin of the Bear Race, the ancestors of man on Earth.

Beyond the annals of recorded history, tradition tells the legend of the Atlantean period of civilization. This continent was submerged in a geological calamity, brought about under the abuse of the natural laws, by its inhabitants. According to Plato the final destruction came in c9600 BCE.  A colony of students from this doomed civilization, known as the Masters of Wisdom, with vision of the coming crisis, emigrated to various parts of the world to begin again. One such destination was a place called Mizriam and later called Egypt, a place where these fleeing Masters could reestablish their knowledge, but this time concealed in order to prevent a repeat catastrophe due to abuse.  However, the Masters did teach, at the temples, those pupils deemed worthy.

At the collapse of Atlantis, knowledge of the laws of nature and of divinity, survived through the priest cast, in the early civilizations of Earth’s known history, and which grew from the remnants of Atlantis.  One of these early civilizations was established in what came to be known as Ancient Egypt and where an attempt was made to recreate the Golden Age of Atlantis. Based on that inherited knowledge, kept and guarded by the Priests of On, Egypt established a great civilization that survived for four thousand years according to modern recorded historical texts, although there are records that have a different and much longer history.

History turns the wheel. The Masters, sensing a change coming, set in motion an ‘Exodus’ from Egypt led by Moses, probably a composite mythological figure unless it was the Egyptian rebel pharaoh Akhenaton. This event occurred in order to preserve the ancient knowledge, in a new form, from its threatened destruction as the great civilization of Egypt entered on its decline. Thus Israel, or the land of EL was established. The ancient knowledge of human thought and evolution was also passed on from Egypt to the inhabitants of Greece and Gaul at a later time before their civilization totally disappeared. The route to Greece may well have been via Crete. Remnants of this event are documented by such great Masters as, Herodotus, Homer, Hesoid, Plato and Socrates.

Further attempts to resurrect a Golden Age occurred with the Incas of South America, and later in the Western world, by the Patriarchs, then later still by the classical Greeks. The Buddha and the Christ were the preparation for the next attempts, which eventually had some success in the Renaissance period of 15-17^th centuries CE, in Europe and England, and included the annexing of America to form a ‘New World’ based on those past Utopian principles. In England the movement centred around the likes of Bacon, Dee, Fludd, and Queen Elizabeth I, out of which crucible sprang the foundations of the 19^th century social and scientific culture. In Europe, the contemporaries in the 15-17^th century resurgence were such people as Ficino, Pico, the Medici family, Agrippa, Durer, Bruno, Fludd and Kircher.

The state of the world in such ‘Golden Ages’ has been so designated as a reference to the ‘wisdom-knowledge’ and ‘mysteries’ of that age as inherited from the past, which contributed to a pleasant and productive living. (48) They were often referred to as ‘Arcadia’ the name of the original Utopia, inhabited by the Bear race. The Bear race is related to the star system of Ursa Major, a star system that plays an important role in the evolution of planet Earth.

There is a double current of cosmic energy affecting the evolution of the world. This double current is symbolized in the two faced ‘Baphomet’ of the Templars. The two faced symbol of the double current or dual evolutionary force is seen on the one hand as that motivation which causes humans to strive for the highest of ideals in seeking the truth, and on the other hand, that motive which opposes this unknown ideal with guile, ignorance and denial. This latter is a hostile force made even more dangerous by being backed with activity and intelligence, albeit of the negative sort. Masters of both camps continually play out their separate universal roles and engage at various times ‘Messengers’ to compete for the love and faith of the human mind. The reason for this dual force, as acknowledged by such philosophical systems as the Gnostics, is because without a duality or polarity there can be no material manifestation as we know it.

Since the earliest ages in the history of humanity, humans more highly developed than the average person have been depositaries of an ancient wisdom pertaining to this dual universal force. Tradition relates that there exists Seven Brotherhoods of such wise beings, the most important of which inhabits an unknown monastery in the Himalayas. These ‘Masters of Wisdom’ are most learned in the Laws of Nature, in the methods of the spiritual world that under-lies and supports the material world. Their work, done in truth, knowledge, wisdom and love, is to lead the development of lesser mortals towards the Light of True Reality. The war continuously wages between light and dark, between divine unity and the promoters of the fracturing forces of individualism and excessive material want; sometimes one side and sometimes the other is seen to rule in the world of man. (206)

This ‘Labyrinth History’ follows the path of Light and some of the Masters who are responsible for transmitting it. In their journey the wrath of the negative path is often encountered but not dwelt upon.

Physical evidence of ‘erect’ man on Earth goes back to at least 116,000 BCE but he did not become HU-man until advent of ‘Adam’, of which there is no date.

REIGN OF THE TITANS

The reign of the Titans continues. Pluto or Hades, the invisible god of the hidden world continues to assault Uranus goddess of the starry heavens.

Egyptian Osiris was also a god of the hidden world, source of all wealth. Osiris was given back his life by the goddess Isis, and Pluto gives back life through the goddess Persephone and her mother Demeter.

Some say that Pluto was originally female, the Great Mother Goddess Rhea, who ruled over the 3 worlds of Earth, Heaven and the Hidden World. The Great Mother spun the aetheric web that supports all manifest life.

Pluto or Plutos has an equivalent in the double Egyptian god Ptah-Seker who symbolises the creative power of the mid-night sun or Osiris of the Hidden World.

Uranus has the equivalent in Nut or Nuit, the Egyptian goddess of the starry sky; not the realm of the planets, but beyond the planets in the Eight Heaven of the greater stars.

The Egyptian Nut or Nuit, goddess of the starry night overarching creation. Related to the Greek/Roman god Uranus the smasher of boundaries.

Pluto and Uranus have been dancing together since 2012 in a 90° angular aspect in the sky and between the tropical signs of Aries and Capricorn. They will continue in this formation until 2015.

A fire sign and an earth sign at logger-heads. Aries fire wants to go full steam ahead. Capricorn earth wants to sit and think about things before acting. Both of these planetary gods/goddesses want radical change in their separate ways, and they are not going to be put off.

In April and May 2014 these two Titans, Pluto and Uranus will be joined by Jupiter and Mars to form a Grand Cross formation, that is 4 planets spaced around the circle 90° apart. It is the classic formation of global tension and has been growing since early January when the formation was starting to be felt before it dissolved, only to reform again in this later time of April-May.

The effects on life on planet earth will of course ripple down to the individual according to their own personal astrological chart, with the impact being according to each individual’s structure and temperament and ability for response.

Do we love one another enough to help each other through this very tense time so that we can become more than we are? Or do we continue to battle each other as if we were all a constant threat to each other?

However, all is not lost, we can survive. A previous very tense situation was experienced in 1999 when the 3 planets Mars, Saturn, Uranus at 90° from each other were triggered by a New Moon eclipse which completed, for a brief time, a similar Grand Cross formation.

Golden Fleece

Tethy has been and returned from adventures around the Black Sea. She was looking for and found the ‘Golden Fleece’ of Argonaut fame and that was once held in the Greek Colony of Colchis.

As legend has it, the hero Jason and his comrades set sail from Greece on a journey around the Black Sea looking for the ‘Golden Fleece’, symbol of transmuted energies. In alchemy gold is the end product when we have changed our leaden vices into golden virtues.

Rumour has it that Jason found this very fleece at the spot where now stands the beautiful city of Batumi in Georgia on the Black Sea. So the locals raised a statue of the goddess/priestess Medea holding the fleece aloft in victory. Medea had given Jason wise counsel and guided him on his adventures.

          

If you are looking for the Argonauts ship in the sky, it is the very large constellation called the Argo – this ship of the Argonauts stretches between the tropical zodiac signs of Cancer and Libra – that is one quarter of the zodiac circle, approximately from the star Sirius to the star Arcturus along the Ecliptic belt.

The lamb/ram that the argonauts are searching for is the symbol of the sign Aries – the first sign of the zodiac, which represents a new impulse of life and the virility of the generative force in nature and human. The ram/lamb is also a sacrificial animal hinting that something must be given up in return for the gift of this renewed energy or renewed life.

Interestingly, at the time of our journey the planets made an unusual formation. It is a line up of Venus, Mercury, Sun, Jupiter and Mars with the sky Unicorn.

The final astrological grouping according to ‘Triplicities’ is Water. These zodiac sign groupings are according to the classical philosophical elements of Fire, Earth, Air and Water [check out early posts]. Let us look us now look at the quality of WATER when combined with each of the 3 modes or ways of doing things in the Cardinal, the Fixed and the Mutable people.

 

Primal Egyptian god of water – Nut

The water element brings life to all things and makes up the bulk of a living organisms. Water is our greatest solvent and is used for cleansing and as a neutral medium in which the bodily chemistry can take place. Water is fluid and takes the shape of its container, as do the emotions, which find their symbolism in this medium.

The water element strong in a chart makes these people prudent, shrinking and fearful but they also have foresight, developed psychic sensitivities and strong self-protective capabilities. Water people being intuitive and sensitive in feeling and perception respond readily to the rhythms of life so aptly portrayed in art, poetry, music, dance and even in sport and sailing.

CANCER: This is water mixed with the cardinal or active state. Water is on the move in the tumbling streams and fast moving rivers – lots of energy just like the emotional force of Cancerian people. The rain can fall softly in nurturing droplets that allow the spring flowers to bloom or it can fall in uncontrollable torrents wiping everything out. So too the emotions and caring of the Cancer person – they are the best nurturing care- givers being both sensitive and wanting to help in practical ways. However, be wary of those over powering emotional outbursts or the clinging and hard-shelled crab who lives in the gentle ebb and flow of the moonlit tidal movements at the edge of the sea.

SCORPIO: Now the water element is mixed with the fixed state of matter. Imagine the hard, cold, frozen snow of the polar caps. Imagine the beautiful, majestic ice-flows let loose into the sea to move along in slow dignified and haughty grace twinkling with shades of blue-green and purple. Likewise do you find the Scorpio personality, alone, isolated and aloof. Think of the power and force of the glacier, moving ever forward in its slow determination, allowing nothing to block its path as it grinds ever onwards. So too will the Scorpio person move towards its goals and ambitions. But don’t be fooled, even the ice-flows and glaciers can be melted eventually with the right set of circumstances, then you can drink their life giving waters.

PISCES:  Down at the bottom of the deep dark sea you will find the magic environment of the Piscean with its strange and wonderful world. In the fastness of the incredible oceans are a myriad of life forms all swimming with the rhythms of its watery medium, curling and arching and darting swiftly about. This is water mixed with the mutable quality – always on the move, changing, full of mystery and wonder, hard to pin down just like our Piscean personalities. Strange people of this world and yet not of this world, sometimes like fish out of water you can see them gasping for the air of far away ideas and impossible dreams. Be careful that you have a life raft, for you may well need it when the sea boils and rages with uncontrollable drive and mountainous waves trying to get somewhere and yet nowhere, causing the greatest havoc to the land-lubbers.

Let us look again at the qualities of AIR when combined with each of the 3 modes or ways of doing things in the Cardinal, the Fixed and the Mutable people.

Primal Egyptian god of air – Shu

The air gives us the ‘Breath of Life’ and the quality of this medium and element is associated with breathing and with brain function. Air people need to circulate amongst their friends like the air amongst the trees whispering and sharing the latest gossip, ideas and news. The air quality of life blows in gentle refreshing breezes to shift away the dust, or it rages like a tornado to clean away the debris. With the breath we send out words that reflect the inner hidden thought; or with unspoken thought we move our bodies to express the inexpressible either in dance or athletics. Thus it is seen that the air quality is necessary to bind and share all we have with each other, after we have gulped down its life giving energy.

GEMINI is the first air sign of the zodiac. It has a duality or polarity, which may be the twin states of body and soul, or soul and spirit. Sometimes Gemini people are aware of this duality and it either causes them to be constantly vacillating between two states or conditions, a bit like Libra, or they are found using their intelligence and questing for knowledge and information in order to learn how to find a middle state that utilises both conditions. In the mundane world this quality is reflected in the ‘middle man’ or agent, the mediator, the bringer of news and gossip. The versatility of the mutable quality, the planetary rulership of Mercury and the flowing nature of air makes the Gemini person the most communicative of the three air signs and sometimes never still.

LIBRA is the air sign that combines with the quality of cardinality, thus it moves in a more direct line than Gemini natives, either focusing on inter-relationships of the human sort or the inter-relationships between intellectual factors or material objects. By so doing these people demonstrate their great need to achieve a balance between all seeming polarities and disparities as befits a combination of the circulatory quality of air. The rulership of Venus, planet of harmony, proportion ensures their constant searching for balance and beauty, whether in fashion or mathematics. You will catch these people making active effort [cardinal] to make things appealing to others and to find meaning in human relationships and they need to be part of such a world.

AQUARIUS combines the movable air quality with the fixed state of being. Aquarian people know that they need to circulate and interrelate with other humans but do not always find this easy due to their fixed mode of action, and sometimes they get stuck for words and feelings too. However, those Aquarians that are expressing themselves well belong to groups that share either their ‘way-out’ thinking or their love of shared activity such as in sporting or working teams. Air wants to be friendly and when combined with the static nature of the fixed mode, this friendship can be relied on to stay around for a long time, even if sometimes at a little distance. By the same virtue the Aquarian can be most aggravatingly stubborn, almost like a Taurean! Under Saturnian rulership, some Aquarians are locked into the past. Under Uranian rulership, some Aquarians live in the future; most are a combination.

Uranus Pluto Alchemy

Well, we have had the Full Moon on Uranus and it does seem as if mother earth is convulsing, and humanity responds by convulsing itself.

The 2 pillars of society are breaking down – the church and the university and in between the third pillar of social structure is disintegrating – this has been going on for some time [since the conjunction of Uranus and Pluto in the alchemical sign of Virgo in the mid 1960s] in a slow and perhaps imperceptible grind, but is now becoming distinctly apparent under the first square of the cycle, in a way that is tangible and has to be faced. All living is being undermined, apart from the obvious technical revolution, in a very subtle and indefinable way.

The breakdown and paradigm shift is occurring in the church, from the point of view of not being the sole controlling and directing force of our moral codes and therefore behaviour, anymore. The breakdown and paradigm shift is occurring in the university from the point of view of not being the sole controlling and directing force of our education and political notions, anymore. As a result, the breakdown and paradigm shift is occurring at a fundamental level in family and social and health structures, even to affecting what we define as gender. Indeed who are we?

Life is now lived more and more in technical ‘bites’ small quick pieces of information in a virtual world of the Internet, were there are no rules and no guidelines.

There seems to be constant displacement of masses of people due to great earth movements of fire, water and earth; and due to human tension expressed in disagreements, shootings, riots and war.

All institutions are breaking down, even life is breaking down, in spite of all the new discoveries. How do we survive and adapt? I wonder if our parents and grandparents felt the same – is this just another reoccurring cycle or is there truly a new world on the horizon? A massive evolutionary leap rather than a turn on the spiral?

I guess the two world wars of the previous century must have felt like this.

Grace first. Sexual pleasure,

then a boiling new life begins,

Eventually the chickpea

will say to the cook,

Boil me some more.

Hit me with the skimming spoon.

I can’t do this by myself.

I’m like an elephant that dreams of gardens

back in Hindustan and doesn’t pay attention

to his driver. You’re my cook, my driver,

my way into existence. I love your cooking.

The cook says

I was once like you,

fresh from the ground. Then I boiled in time,

and boiled in the body, two fierce boilings.

My animal soul grew powerful.

I controlled it with practices,

and became your teacher.
