MOON DRAGON of VIRGO

Demeter – Mother of the Wheat Harvest

What-ever is started under a New Moon will follow the lunar tide of energy until the following New Moon. This will generally occur in the next zodiac sign as the Sun and the Moon move forward in their orbits through the 12 zodiac signs as seen from Earth. These zodiac signs are the imaginary divisions of the imaginary circle called the Ecliptic, although they hold an affinity with the constellations of stars that hold the same names.

Between two New Moon, the tide of energy reaches a peak at the Full Moon when the lunar orb reaches the opposing sign holding the Sun. This takes about 14 days from New Moon.

The Lunar Cycle

The New Moon of the 11 September 2026 holds the 18th degree of the zodiac sign of Virgo the Wheat Maiden or Demeter, mother of the Earth and Harvest.

The Sabian symbol of Jones- Wheeler for the 18th degree of Virgo is that of two girls playing with a Ouija board in order to contact the spirits. Its meaning is that of human desire for contact with the beyond in response to the restless desire of inquiry of how things are in truth.

This is a very appropriate scenario for our present times in the light of all the unrest of the world and questioning of what is. Perhaps this New Moon of Virgo is advising us to give attention to how we are living day to day. Are we conscientious in our hygiene habits and what rituals we pursue; and how we do this with honesty and good humour, rather grouchy complaining at the way things are. Be hardworking and give attention to health, diet and exercise for a good working system both of body and mind. Look at the details; exercise your craft skills. Most of all, be efficient and apply your common sense to matters at hand.

Our enthusiasms and energy of the New Moon are well directed towards family and community activities and concerns, as we turn our mind to friendly communications. Perhaps we should modify this with less self interest over the following lunar month. Look for ways of adjusting in a positive way to our fast changing world.

Shortly after the New Moon, things may not be as clear as they should be and a few fantasies and half-truths may be bedazzling our conversations.

The Equinox is between 22nd and 24th of September. Here is your opportunity to create more balance and harmony in your life by looking at what is fair and equal as the Sun moves into the sign of Libra and night or dark equals day or light.

Full Moon over the Mountain

By Full Moon tide of 26th September we will see how well we have done and to what degree we have been successful in applying all that energy and enthusiasm released at the previous New Moon. We are likely to be dealing with more big events as we adjust to the general paradigm shift.

Look at how you can assist rather than fall prey to feeling sorry for yourself and be prepared to deal with more strong challenges as the lunar cycle wanes towards its next New Moon phase.
