AAL’S LABYRINTH HISTORY An Alternative Viewpoint…..contd. 22

Hindu god Vishnu. [From Larousse]

3102               KRSNA & ARJUNA: This is the date of the Bharata battle that decided the dynastic struggle between two clans of India’s ruling families, the Pandavas and the Kurus. An account of this long dynastic struggle is recorded in the epic ‘Mahabharata’ and marks the beginning of the ‘Age of Misfortune, the Kali Yuga’. (199) This is a ‘dark age’, which lacks a doctrine; it began on 18th February 3102 BCE and will last 432,000 years. Krishna, and Kali are both ‘black’ gods. Indra’s son Arjuna is ‘white’ but taught by black Krishna, an incarnation or avatar of Vishnu. These great gods of Hinduism will survive well into future times. (195)
The Aryans are mentioned in the ‘Mahabharata’ but traditional orthodox history puts Aryan settlement of India at c1500 BCE.
The following year is recorded a great gathering of all planets in the constellation of Aries, said to mark the time of the Biblical Flood. (60)

3046               Estimated total eclipse over the capital Thinis, Ancient Egypt. (240. 241) Eclipses usually mark a time of considerable adjustment to change.

3005               According to Petrie this is the start of Middle Kingdom of ancient Egypt. Coffin texts are thought to date from this period.
YNTEF I the Great, first pharaoh of the Middle kingdom recorded, ‘I enlarged my northern boundary as far as the nome of Aphroditopolis, I drove in the mooring peg in the sacred valley, I captured the whole of the Thinite nome, I opened all its fortresses, I made it the Door to the North’ (80)
MENTUHOTEP I is credited with establishing the 11th Dynasty of Egyptian kings and the foundation of the Middle Kingdom. He came from a family of Theban princes who traced their ancestry to a noble named Inyotef the Great [Yntef?]. (287)
MENTU-HOTEP III is the last pharaoh of the 11th Dynasty. He builds a mortuary temple and a pyramid at Deir el Bahri, which will be further built onto by the future Senusert III of the 12th Dynasty. Mentu-hotep’s mortuary temple will act as a model for the future temple of Pharaoh Hatshepsut. Whilst stone was being quarried for Mentu-hotep’s sarcophagus, it is recorded that a pregnant gazelle. ‘...went with her face towards the people before her, while her eyes looked backward....’ She sacrificed herself in birth on the stone.  The incident was interpreted as Divine direction. (80)

c3000 BCE     DARDANUS builds the city of Troy in Asia, and is its first king. Dardanus is a son of Zeus and Electra, the lost star of the Pleiade group located in the shoulder of Taurus the Bull.  They are inhabitants of Samothrace, a Greek Island in the northern Aegean Sea.
After the death of his brother in a flood (the third flood according to Nonnos) Dardanus went to Asia where King Teucer reigned. Teucer gave Dardanus land and the hand of his daughter Batieia. On the death of King Teucer, Dardanus inherited the whole country and called it Dardania, after which he built the citadel of Troy. Dardanus then initiated the Trojans of Troad into the mysteries of the Cabiri and introduced the cult of the mother goddess Cybele into Phrygia. The Cabiri were the divine servants of goddess Rhea. According to the Italians, Dardanus came originally from the Etruscan city of Cortona and then went to Phrygia/Troad and thus created a bond between the two lands. (148)
Dardanus received a magical shield from Zeus, which is handed on to Minerva [Athena] and then to Numa, founder of Rome c703 BCE. [247. 503]

Mother Goddess of the Mountain
Goddess Cybele/Rhea from Ursa Major

The star Electra, mother of the Dardanus will be saddened when she witnesses the future fall of Ilion, and so will leave her station among the Pleiades to become the ‘Fox Star’ or Alcor of Ursa Major. According to Babylonian legend this star, known to them as Era, was powerful among the gods and took its place at the beam of the wagon of Ursa Major; it is associated with the planetary god Nergal or Mars. The Sumerian story of ‘Utnapishtim’, records that Nergal/Mars/Alcor is responsible for the first great world flood. Thus, the legends read that when Electra/Era frees herself from the yoke of Ursa Major or from the Pleiades group, in the time of the fall of Ilion/Troy in 1185 BCE, there will come the end of a world-age, presumably the Pleiadic age. (71)

The first settlers of Troy built the city as a Bronze Age fortress.  It will become the city of Hissarlik in the future modern country of Turkey, near the entrance to the Dardanelles. Troy is the city of the later King Priam (1184 BCE) and destined to be destroyed by the Greeks in the Trojan War of that time. Troy was once known as Ilios or Ilion, as related in the future Homer’s epic poem the ‘Iliad’, which will record the story of the fall of Troy. (102)
A succeeding Troy II (2500-2200 BCE) will grow in power and wealth to reach the high point of Troy’s history known in archaeology as Troy VI around 1800-1300 BC.

The ‘Bronze Age’ is named so due to the development of an alloy of copper and tin that allows the making of better tools, implements of which are common in the Near East. (102). During this ‘Bronze Age’, the culture of Lower Mesopotamia (marsh delta) is known by the name ‘Jemdt Nasr’. (173)

The heliacal rising (with the sun) of Sirius coincided with the flooding of the Nile around this time. Egyptian Temples are aligned to this star. (47) Sirius is a binary (but possibly triple system according to the Dogon) and the eccentricity of the orbit of the second star reflects the Golden Mean ratio of 1.61. Pre-Ptolemy (150 CE) Sirius is known as a red star but after his time it will be known as a blue-white star. Sirius is seen as a ‘normal star’, whilst its companion, Sirius B is known as a white dwarf. (47) The Pole star at this time is alpha Draconis. (71)

c3000 BCE     MINOS OF KNOSSOS is the legendary King of Crete and after whom the Minoan civilization is named in the future by the famous archaeologist Arthur Evans. Worship by these peoples was of the Great Mother Goddess and the Moon Goddess. Thucyides refers to Minos I.4 . I.8. who married Pasiphae, daughter of Helios and Perseis. Unfortunately, Pasiphae is to fall in love with the bull that Minos failed to sacrifice to the gods. Their offspring is the Minotaur, which Minos was obliged to keep in an underground labyrinth. [148]

DAEDALUS, architect to King Minos, created this labyrinth under the palace of Knossos in which to keep the Minotaur monster, half bull and half man. The word ‘labyrinthos’ comes from, ‘the place of the double axe’, the Labrys. (44) the double axe is a symbol of the Great Mother Goddess.
The Cretan culture would eventually spread to Thrace and early Hellandic Greece, (29) and with it the fertility religion of the Great Mother Goddess, Rhea, not to be replaced until 2nd Millennium BCE when the Indo-European invaders will bring their masculine sun god to that country. When the Cretan Mother Goddess came to Greece she became departmentalised into different aspects of fertility. The change of dominance from matriarchy to patriarchy is recorded in the mythology of the Indo-European gods mating with, and then dominating these goddesses. (44)

Cretan Snake Goddess

c3000 BCE     By this time period, the city-states of Sumeria contain several thousand inhabitants. (96) There are Neolithic Barrows (burial mounds) in England.
In the Near East civilizations of Egypt and Sumeria, women have the same legal rights as men, inheriting and trading property, holding prominent positions etc.  Gradually there is to be a slow decline in their status from this date forward. (9)

Agricultural revolution occurs in Spain as the settled life of farming and herding brought a population boom. In the south of Spain many dolmens and megalithic tombs attest to the vitality of this culture called the ‘Almeria’. (102)

AAL’S LABYRINTH HISTORY An Alternative Viewpoint…..contd. 21.

The ‘Narmer Palette’ celebrating the union of Upper and Lower Egypt under the Pharaoh Menes. [Gardner, ‘Art Through the Ages’]

c3200 BCE     MENES or NARMER is also known as the Pharaoh Aha, the first mortal king of Ancient Egypt. He is credited in legend as being half human and half divine. He is founder of the historical dynasties of Ancient Egypt. As such, Menes unites Upper Egypt of the White Crown, with the Delta region of Lower Egypt and the Red Crown. The national capital is established at Memphis, the geodetic centre of Egypt. (68) The earlier symbols of the two kingdoms are maintained; they are the sedge, the bee and the papyrus. (49) In a future time the bee will be important to the European dynastic line of the Merovingians.

However, the scholar Champollion will in the future put the date of the beginning of Dynastic Egypt at c5867 BCE and this date would accord with the legendary ‘Golden Age’. Which-ever date is the truest, the unification of Egypt is nominated the ‘Archaic Period’ of Dynastic Egypt, a time when a fully-fledged culture seems to appear out of nowhere. Possibly this is because of the intervention of another race and an experiment to run Egypt to a plan of ancient wisdom that is guided by the ‘Inner Masters’ according to mystic tradition.
At unification, Narmer moves his capital from This in the south to the new city of White Wall (Memphis) in the north and commemorates the event of unification on the ‘Narmer Palette’ which is located at Nekhen (GK. Hieraconpolis) city of the falcon god Horus. (49) The depiction of a possible marriage ceremony between Narmer and a northern princess, indicates consolidation of the Red and White Lands, (49) and is perhaps symbolic of an alchemical marriage.
One wonders if the story of the red and white, of the uniting of two lands of Egypt, is the story of the dual mother goddess – the Vulture and the Cobra - of the two states becoming the one male god Horus of the united Egypt. Was the Narmer Palette the for-runner of the ‘Sam Tau’?
Around the time of the Union of Egypt, migration from the Western Delta to Libya took place (33) and then from Libya to Crete. Is this the path of the spider or mother goddess, making her way out of Egypt to eventually become Arachne/Ariadne in Crete and Greece? The classical Labyrinth can be symbolised in the spider’s web, both of which are a symbolic reference to the hidden side of life.

Theseus, Ariadne and the Labyrinth. 15th Century Giraudon

As reigning king, Menes was regarded as the living embodiment of the falcon-god Horus or Ra-Harakhty. As ruler of the united kingdom of Egypt the reigning king from now on will wear the two crowns of the two kingdoms; it is known as the double crown. Edjo and Nekhbet, the Cobra and Vulture goddesses of the north and south, become the dual protectors of the whole of Egypt. (see 5000 BCE) Nekhbet is the vulture goddess of births; Edjo as protector against enemies or perhaps disintigration. They may be the goddesses of destiny and fate but are gradually supplanted by falcon sun god Horus.

King Menes began the first human dynasty of ancient Egypt. The Sanskrit root ‘man’ means ‘to think, a thinker’; Pythagorean ‘Monas’ means a conscious thinking unit; ‘Manas’ is mind as the 5th principle of man. Ancestors of all races are called Mannus, Manu, Menes, Minos, referring to a ‘thinking being’ or man [as opposed to a god or animal] [239]
Menes other and royal ‘Horus’ name is Narmer, which according to some means Nar [fish] mer [chisel] [to chisel out means death of the substrate] but the name could also mean ‘great fish’ and be a possible reference to Oannes the fish god of Babylonia.

PTAH: is the chief god of the new capital Memphis. He is master of destiny and creator of the world. To the future Roman’s he will become known as Vulcan. Ptah is always represented as a mumiform figure, but he also manifests himself as the Apis-Bull, a fertility god, and through his association with Soker, was also known as a funerary god. [287 p.27] Apis is Latin for Bee and thus provides a connection with the earlier Egyptian symbolism before the time of unification. The association of the bull and the bee becomes clearer from a study of Mithraic symbology. In Mithraism the vital principle is symbolised by the bull/oxen from which the bee or soul springs. [322 p.32]

HOR-AHA AND WIFE NEITHETEP: a 1st Dynasty King and Queen of Egypt based at Nubt, the abode of Seth. At this time there is in existence a temple to Neith of Sais, she is the great Mother Goddess. (49)

DJT OF ABYDOS is the 3rd monarch of First Dynasty known as the ‘Serpent King’. His stele is the oldest known example of the use of a frame, recess or doorway as the foundation of the royal ‘Horus-name’. At his time the cult of Hathor is known Egypt and in Lebanon.  (67)
In the early period, the pharaohs are called the ‘Horus Kings’ as the representatives of the falcon god and are under the protection of Horus the Elder. By the 2nd Dynasty the kings have become ‘sons of Re’, another form of the sun god. Close to White Wall was the chief religions city of Iwaw [Hebrew On, Greek Heliopolis] where the earlier sun god Re is supplanted by the god Atum. (49)

According to Jane Sellers, from the First Dynasty to the Persian conquest of Egypt in the Twenty-Seventh Dynasty, there will be a predicted eleven total eclipses over Egyptian centres of power. (240 p.57) Such phenomena is put forward as being represented and recorded in the mythology of the battle of the Egyptian gods. As the cosmic influences change through the motion of precession there is a change of orientation between earth and stars, and stars replace stars in their heavenly location relative to earth.

c3200 BCE     The site of Jericho is established. It will become a succession of walled towns from now until c1580 BCE when it will then be destroyed by Egyptian invasions.

3114               Beginning of a Mayan Great Cycle of 5,130 years, to end in December 2012 CE.  (165)

AAL’S LABYRINTH HISTORY An Alternative Viewpoint…..contd. 20.

c3400             SCORPION: This is the name of an Egyptian king of late Nagada II period from southern Egypt. The pre-dynastic culture of Nagada II marks developments in ancient Egypt, which appear to have no direct precedents. Some of these are the first appearance of the earliest stages in the development of writing; artifacts with motifs representing strange composite animals with entwined necks and alien to Egyptian tradition; and the distinction between burial practices for the ruling class and the masses. The sudden appearance of this new culture is considered by some to be due to the arrival of a foreign race that would start the dynastic period of Egypt c3100BC. The origins of this race are unknown, but infiltration seems to have been from the south as the earliest known of these cultures is located in Upper Egypt.

c3300             RE or RA’s Birthday. The Egyptian Sun god’s birthday is marked by the Summer Solstice, and the ‘Calendar of Feasts’ is put into place. During this year the Solstice coincides with the heliacal rising of Sirius. The star Sirius is of the constellation Canis Minor, located near sidereal Gemini.

HORUS: The Turin Papyrus states that before the reign of King Menes (c3200) and the beginning of the historical Egyptian dynasties, there is the rule of the ‘Venerable Companions’ (or servitors) of the falcon sun god Horus. They are the Shemsu-Hor, who reigned for 13,420 years. An inscription in the temple of Dendera ascribes the ‘venerable organization’ of worship to a skin scroll dating from the epoch of the ‘Companions of Horus’ (demi-gods). The ancients thus ascribed the art of writing and the origins of their state to a remote antiquity.

Horus the falcon sun god

TROY: The site of this future great city in ancient Anatolia [Turkey] is first settled during last centuries of 4th millenium. Troy is located close to Mount Ida famous for the birth of the god Zeus [although there is another mount Ida in Crete]. It is the location of the famous Trojan War. An account of the Trojan War will be recorded in the future by the Greek Homer, in his epic poem, the ‘Illiad’.

3233               PEPI I: In this year, in the reign of this Egyptian King Pepi, the temple of Dendra is rebuilt. It will again be rebuilt by Thothmes III in 1600 BCE, and again by the Ptolemies about 100 BCE.

WENI: an Egyptian court official writes an autobiography of his long life as experienced under the reign of the Pharoahs Teti, Pepi I and Mernere.

The Full Moon around the 18th August 2016 falls in the zodiac sign of Aquarius. For those people with this sign highlighted in their birth chart there is sure to be a peak phase in what ever was going on approximately two weeks ago at the New Moon in the zodiac sign of Leo. A time when reality and clear thinking was being challenged by the melting of previously known boundaries. What was then lost or creating confusion may now be found or given clarity.
